Excel IELTS program is directed by famous IELTS specialist Ms. Dong Tang. Excel provides the best full time and part time IELTS programs in Vancouver for all international students and new immigrants. Excel’s IELTS teaching system is very unique that allows our students broaden their English knowledge to achieve the better exam scores.
Full time program is 20 hours per week with 4 sessions (2.5 hour per session) in the mornings and 4 sessions in the afternoons. Part time program is 10 hours per week either 4 sessions in the mornings or 4 sessions in the afternoons. The program runs regularly 12 weeks basis with 8 weeks and 4 weeks solution available.
The classes start at 10:00 am in the morning and 1:00 pm in the afternoons. We provide one hour English Workshops for those who need it twice per week. We also provide after class free tutoring services to assist students achieving their study goal. For those who like to enhance one specific English skill (i.e. English Speaking), extra material and independent instructions are always available as well. Excel offers different levels of TOEFL programs. Excel basic TOEFL program is designedfor the students whose English is at middle beginning to middle intermediate level. The class wills emphasis on basic English listening, speaking, grammar, reading, vocabulary, pronunciation, and writing skills preparation.
Excel also offers advanced TOEFL program which focuses on real TOEFL test, enhanced testing skill practice, one to one, face to face English conversation and writing coaches. Specifically, this program chiefly focuses on English vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, sentence and passage structure as well as TOEFL test strategies so that students will improve their English, feel more confident with their high school study and simultaneously get accustomed to TOEFL test Excel TOEFL program has flexible class time for the students who part time study in other schools or part time work in somewhere else. Since Excel is one of the ETS authorized official test center in Vancouver, there are lots of official practice material stored in school computer lab. Students are strongly encouraged to free study school test practice resources after class.
The TOEIC test is a two-hour no-break multiple-choice test that consists of 200 questions divided into 100 questions each in listening comprehension (45minutes) and reading comprehension (75 minutes). Each candidate receives independent marks for written and oral comprehension on a scale from 5 to 495 points. The total score adds up to a scale from 10 and 990 points.
In many countries around the business world, most notably in Asia, TOEIC is the standard by which English is measured.
Excel TOEIC program offers free grammar and listening workshop once a week, and it also provides an enhancive TOEIC practice exam every Friday. This program will focus on professional TOEIC test skills as well as English listening and reading skills. Since Excel is an ETS authorized official TOEIC test center, there are many official practice test materials in the study lab. Students are encouraged to use all these materials after class for free. After studying hard for several weeks at Excel, students could easily reach their target score.
The course is made up of a number of tasks that provide our students the reliable assessments of productive English language skills across a broad range of proficiency. This course is designed to help all students prepare for the IELTS and new TOEIC Speaking tests. It also excellent English course for general English Speaking and English Writing skill enhancement.
Excel LPI Program is a specially designed 4-week or 8-week program with 3 hours per session. Through the 4 to 8 weeks training, students will develop a very clear understanding of LPI format and do several LPI model tests. Excel LPI Program is designed to help 3 sort of student needs: a) those who need score 5 to meet university grade one requirement; b) those who need score 4 to meet college level academic requirement or career licensing (i.e. real estate agent) requirement; c) those who need to have the general English essay writing skills improved at score 3~4 level.
Excel LPI program will cover the eight common errors in sentence structure, the nine common errors in English usage, summarization skills and essay writing skills with lots of relevant exercises. The classes will be carried on in lecture style combined with person to person instruction. All the teaching material is scientifically designed and strictly selected for LPI specifically.
Excel LPI Program is focused on the individual cases of students. The experienced instructors will evaluate the beginning level of each student and make specific teaching plan accordingly. Students will definitely improve their English essay writing skills and get their desired scores after several week studies. Excel LPI Program has the most flexible schedule for the best convenience of all students.
The program material is designed based on British Columbia Education Ministry English 11 and 12 curriculums so that the content they study at Excel is directly related to what they will study at school. This program is not only limited to British Columbia English curriculum. It develops and expands into a much deeper level which will significantly strengthen students’ English foundation. Because of lacking of experience, many students may struggle from cultural difference when they first study in Canadian regular high school. This program will also help students to better understand and adapt Canadian culture and its history.
Excel high school English program is organized in a tutorial setting which only a few students will be allowed in one class. The major teaching technique applied in this class is one-on-one coaching. In this case, students will get a lot of personal assistance from the instructor so that they could make greatest improvement in each class.
